Michael Escobar, PhD

Dr. Escobar has a PhD in statistics. His research is a combination of both theoretical and applied areas with an interest in the application and development of statistical techniques in the medical, biological, and public health sciences. Dr. Escobar is on faculty and is the former Director of the graduate program in biostatistics at the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Toronto. He is also the current Past-President of the Biostatistics Section of the Statistical Society of Canada, a past Associate Editor of the Journal of the American Statistical Association, and serves as a referee for a number of international journals and granting agencies.
